An Abuja-based media expert and aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa Federal Constituency, Ajayi Taiwo, has urged his constituents to reflect on the essence of Easter beyond the celebration and merriment.
He expressed Easter felicitations to Christians in his federal constituency and the state at large, urging them to ponder deeply on the spiritual and moral significance of the season as a pathway to personal and collective renewal as a people.
In a statement issued on Monday, Ajayi described Easter as a profound reminder of sacrifice, hope, and victory over adversity, noting that these values remain critical in navigating the challenges facing both individuals and the nation.
“Easter is not just a celebration; it is a call to embrace sacrifice, to uphold faith in difficult times, and to renew our commitment to building a better society,” he said.
He encouraged Christians and residents of the constituency to imbibe these virtues in their daily lives, stressing that unity of purpose and selflessness are indispensable to sustainable development.
According to him, “if we truly understand the essence of Easter, we will learn to put the collective good above personal interests and work together for the progress of our communities.”
Addressing constituents across Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, and Iwajowa, Ajayi urged them to remain resolute in their shared aspiration to reposition the constituency for greater opportunities and development.
“Our constituency is rich in potential, and with the right leadership and collective determination, we can restore its pride of place and make it a model for others,” he stated.

He maintained that his ambition is rooted in a genuine desire to serve and uplift the people. “I am ready and willing to offer leadership that listens, that understands, and that delivers.
“Representation must go beyond occupying a seat; it must translate into real impact in the lives of the people,” he said.
He further pledged to collaborate closely with Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, who he described as his role model and an embodiment of visionary leadership in modern political evolution in Nigeria, to attract more dividends of democracy to his constituency.
Ajayi noted that strengthening ties between federal and state actors including critical players in the organized private sectors, would accelerate development across his federal constituency.
“Working closely with His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, we can unlock greater opportunities in infrastructure, education, youth empowerment, and economic growth for our people,” he added.
While calling on his supporters to remain calm, focused, and committed, Ajayi, had provided several empowerment initiatives including scholarships to children and youths in primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions, sporting competitions across the federal constituency for youth engagements with cash prizes reward, noted that more can be done with the right resources.
In his words: “Several students are currently on four years scholarship in university study nursing, micro-biology, pharmacy, Medicine, English, and we’re willing and committed to doing more for them.”
He emphasised the strategic importance of political networking in delivering tangible results at the grassroots, stressing that good governance does not require rocket science but commitment and political will to deliver.
“Effective representation requires strong connections and the ability to attract federal presence to our communities. It doesn’t require rocket science, just the commitment and political will to deliver.
“This is how we can improve the quality of life and raise the standard of living of our people,” he said.
Reaffirming his 2027 ambition, the aspirant urged his supporters not to lose sight of the broader goal regardless of the challenges the PDP is currently facing, reiterating his faith in the leadership of governor Makinde to chart a new course for the party.
“I encourage all our supporters to stay resolute and disciplined in the middle of this storm because our confidence and faith remain with our visionary leader, who has consistently provided clear direction for us out of political quagmire in the past.”
“The journey ahead requires patience, unity, and unwavering belief in our collective vision to represent the good people of Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa at the National Assembly,” Ajayi stated.
